The urethral ring pessary with button or “ flat pessary ” is a pessary which is particularly suitable for the case of stress incontinence with mild uterine prolapse or mild cystocele (bladder prolapse) .
The pessary could prevent the development of extra stress incontinence and prevent an opening of the upper urethra in situations such as coughing or movement. Displacement can also prevent urine seeping into the urethra, which can even have a positive effect on urge or a mixture of stress and urge incontinence.
The button of the ring pessary will be positioned at the back of the pubic symphysis. It stabilizes the bladder and increases urethral resistance .
The urethral pessary with button is made of soft silicone with a steel spring inside that keeps its elastic shape.
